Al-Qasas • Ayah 34 of 88 • English

وَأَخِي هَارُونُ هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانًا فَأَرْسِلْهُ مَعِيَ رِدْءًا يُصَدِّقُنِي ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ

Translation:

And my brother Aaron is more fluent than me in tongue, so send him with me as support, verifying me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me." Al-Qasas 28:34 ^⧉

Tafsir:

A sermon should have high degree of eloquence

هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانًا (He is more fluent in his tongue - Al-Qasas 28:34 ^⧉). This verse Al-Qasas 28:34 ^⧉ points out that a high degree of oratory and eloquence is desirable for sermons and preaching, and there is no harm if one takes training in that.
