Az-Zukhruf • Ayah 11 of 89 • English

وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنْشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ

Translation:

And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth - Az-Zukhruf 43:11 ^⧉

Commentary

جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْ‌ضَ مَهْدًا (has made the earth a cradle for you — Az-Zukhruf 43:10 ^⧉) meaning that the comfort provided by the earth is that of a cradle; its apparent look of being a plain floor does not negate its being spherical.
