Al-Mulk • Ayah 22 of 30 • English


أَفَمَنْ يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّنْ يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ 22
Translation:
Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path? Al-Mulk 67:22
Tafsir:

أَفَمَن يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّن يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَ‌اطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (Then, tell me whether the one who walks falling down [ frequently ] on his face is better guided or the one who walks on a straight path...Al-Mulk 67:22 ).

The phrase 'the one who walks on a straight path' refers to the believer who is rightly guided. The next verse Al-Mulk 67:23 describes the manifestation of Divine power and wisdom in the creation of man, thus:
