وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُمْ مَكْرٌ فِي آيَاتِنَا ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرًا ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَ
Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan min baAAdi darraa massathum itha lahum makrun fee ayatina quli Allahu asraAAu makran inna rusulana yaktuboona ma tamkuroona (21)
قوله عز وجل : ( وإذا أذقنا الناس ) يعني : الكفار ، ( رحمة من بعد ضراء ) أي : راحة ورخاء من بعد شدة وبلاء . وقيل : القطر بعد القحط ، ( مستهم ) أي : أصابتهم ، ( إذا لهم مكر في آياتنا ) قال مجاهد : تكذيب واستهزاء . وقال مقاتل بن حيان : لا يقولون : هذا من رزق الله ، إنما يقولون : سقينا بنوء كذا ، وهو قوله : " وتجعلون رزقكم أنكم تكذبون " ( الواقعة - 82 ) .
( قل الله أسرع مكرا ) أعجل عقوبة وأشد أخذا وأقدر على الجزاء ، يريد : عذابه في إهلاككم أسرع إليكم مما يأتي منكم في دفع الحق ، ( إن رسلنا ) حفظتنا ، ( يكتبون ما تمكرون ) وقرأ يعقوب : " يمكرون " بالياء .
If Allah makes the idolaters experience some mercy, such as rain and abundance after drought and suffering, they start to plot and scheme in rejection of Allah’s signs. Say O Messenger to these idolaters, that Allah is quicker at plotting and in enticing and luring them, and quicker in dealing His Punishment. The angels record what they plan in the way of scheming, and nothing escapes them, so how could it escape their Creator? Allah will repay them for their scheming.
