فَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَافِلِينَ
Fakafa biAllahi shaheedan baynana wabaynakum in kunna AAan AAibadatikum laghafileena (29)
( فكفى بالله شهيدا بيننا وبينكم إن كنا عن عبادتكم لغافلين ) أي : ما كنا عن عبادتكم إيانا إلا غافلين ، ما كنا نسمع ولا نبصر ولا نعقل .
Their so called gods dissasociate themselves from them, saying that Allah is sufficient as a witness that they were not happy being worshipped by them, nor did they command them to do so, nor were they aware of their worship of them!
