وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنْتَ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
Waminhum man yanthuru ilayka afaanta tahdee alAAumya walaw kanoo la yubsiroona (43)
( ومنهم من ينظر إليك ) بأبصارهم الظاهرة ، ( أفأنت تهدي العمي ) يريد عمى القلب ، ( ولو كانوا لا يبصرون ) وهذا تسلية من الله عز وجل لنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول : إنك لا تقدر أن تسمع من سلبته السمع ، ولا أن تهدي من سلبته البصر ، ولا أن توفق للإيمان من حكمت عليه أن لا يؤمن .
And from them are those who see you O Messenger with their normal eyesight, but not with the vision of insight. Is it possible for you to make the blind see? You are not able to do so, and likewise you is unable to guide those who lack perception and understanding.
