يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَٰذَا ۖ إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَإِنَّهُمْ آتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍ
Ya ibraheemu aAArid AAan hatha innahu qad jaa amru rabbika wainnahum ateehim AAathabun ghayru mardoodin (76)
( يا إبراهيم أعرض عن هذا ) أي : أعرض عن هذا المقال ودع عنك الجدال ، ( إنه قد جاء أمر ربك ) أي : عذاب ربك وحكم ربك ، ( وإنهم آتيهم ) نازل بهم ، ( عذاب غير مردود ) أي : غير مصروف عنهم .
The angels told Abraham to leave off debating about the people of Lot: the command of his Lord had come that they would receive the punishment He had decreed for them, and there was a great punishment coming to the people of Lot, which no debate or prayer could turn back.
