قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
Qala rabbi alssijnu ahabbu ilayya mimma yadAAoonanee ilayhi wailla tasrif AAannee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileena (33)
( قال رب ) أي : يا رب ( السجن أحب إلي مما يدعونني إليه ) قيل : كان الدعاء منها خاصة ، ولكنه أضاف إليهن خروجا من التصريح إلى التعريض .
وقيل : إنهن جميعا دعونه إلى أنفسهن .
وقرأ يعقوب وحده : السجن بفتح السين . وقرأ العامة بكسرها .
وقيل : لو لم يقل : السجن أحب إلي لم يبتل بالسجن ، والأولى بالمرء أن يسأل الله العافية .
قوله تعالى : ( وإلا تصرف عني كيدهن أصب إليهن ) أمل إليهن وأتابعهن ، يقال : صبا فلان إلى كذا يصبو صبوا وصبوا وصبوة إذا مال واشتاق إليه .
( وأكن من الجاهلين ) فيه دليل على أن المؤمن إذا ارتكب ذنبا يرتكبه عن جهالة .
Joseph (peace be upon him) prayed to his Lord saying: O my Lord, prison, which they threaten me with, is preferable to me than the shameful act they call me towards. If You do not remove their scheme from me, I may incline to them and I will become one of the ignorant ones – if I give in to them and do what they want me to do.
