يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِنَا فِي سَبْعِ بَقَرَاتٍ سِمَانٍ يَأْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ وَسَبْعِ سُنْبُلَاتٍ خُضْرٍ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَاتٍ لَعَلِّي أَرْجِعُ إِلَى النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
Yoosufu ayyuha alssiddeequ aftina fee sabAAi baqaratin simanin yakuluhunna sabAAun AAijafun wasabAAi sunbulatin khudrin waokhara yabisatin laAAallee arjiAAu ila alnnasi laAAallahum yaAAlamoona (46)
فقال : ( يوسف ) يعني : يا يوسف ( أيها الصديق ) والصديق الكثير الصدق ( أفتنا في سبع بقرات سمان يأكلهن سبع عجاف وسبع سنبلات خضر وأخر يابسات ) فإن الملك رأى هذه الرؤيا ( لعلي أرجع إلى الناس ) أهل مصر ( لعلهم يعلمون ) تأويل الرؤيا . وقيل : لعلهم يعلمون منزلتك في العلم .
فقال لهم يوسف معبرا ومعلما : أما البقرات السمان والسنبلات الخضر : فسبع سنين مخاصيب ، والبقرات العجاف والسنبلات [ اليابسات ] فالسنون المجدبة ، فذلك قوله تعالى إخبارا عن يوسف :
When the man who had been saved reached Joseph, he asked Joseph, the truthful, to inform them of the interpretation of someone dreaming about seven fat cows being eaten by seven thin cows, and seven green ears of corn and seven dry ears of corn, so that he might return to the king and those with him and they might know the explanation of the king’s dream, and also know the virtue and rank of Joseph.
