13 Ar-Ra'd(الرعد), Ayah 20

الَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَنْقُضُونَ الْمِيثَاقَ

Allatheena yoofoona biAAahdi Allahi wala yanqudoona almeethaqa ⁽²⁰⁾

Tafsir

( الذين يوفون بعهد الله ) بما أمرهم الله تعالى به وفرضه عليهم فلا يخالفونه ( ولا ينقضون الميثاق ) وقيل : أراد العهد الذي أخذه على ذرية آدم عليه السلام حين أخرجهم من صلبه .

Those who respond to Allah are the ones who fulfil the pledges they made to Allah or the pledges they made to His servants and who do not break the pledges made with Allah or with others.
