فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Faasabahum sayyiatu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona (34)
( فأصابهم سيئات ما عملوا ) عقوبات كفرهم وأعمالهم الخبيثة ، ( وحاق بهم ) [ نزل بهم ] ( ما كانوا به يستهزئون )
So the retribution of the actions they used to do came down on them and they were surrounded by the punishment they used to mock at whenever they were reminded of it.
