وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ رِزْقًا مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yamliku lahum rizqan mina alssamawati waalardi shayan wala yastateeAAoona (73)
( ويعبدون من دون الله ما لا يملك لهم رزقا من السماوات ) يعني المطر ، ( والأرض ) يعني النبات ، ( شيئا ) قال الأخفش : هو بدل من الرزق ، معناه : أنهم لا يملكون من أمر الرزق شيئا قليلا ولا كثيرا .
وقال الفراء : نصب " شيئا " بوقوع الرزق عليه ، أي : لا يرزق شيئا ، ( ولا يستطيعون ) ولا يقدرون على شيء ، يذكر عجز الأصنام عن إيصال نفع أو دفع ضر .
