لَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَخْذُولًا

( لا تجعل مع الله إلها آخر ) الخطاب مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والمراد غيره .
وقيل : معناه لا تجعل أيها الإنسان [ مع الله إلها آخر ] ( فتقعد مذموما مخذولا ( مذموما من غير حمد مخذولا من غير نصر .
O servant! Do not set up another deity that you worship together with Allah, or you will become condemned in the sight of Allah and His righteous servants, and forsaken by Him.
