قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ فَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ كَشْفَ الضُّرِّ عَنْكُمْ وَلَا تَحْوِيلًا
Quli odAAu allatheena zaAAamtum min doonihi fala yamlikoona kashfa alddurri AAankum wala tahweelan (56)
قوله عز وجل : ( قل ادعوا الذين زعمتم من دونه ( وذلك أن المشركين أصابهم قحط شديد حتى أكلوا الكلاب والجيف فاستغاثوا بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليدعو لهم قال الله تعالى : ( قل ( للمشركين ( ادعوا الذين زعمتم من دونه ( أنها آلهة ( فلا يملكون كشف الضر ( القحط والجوع ( عنكم ولا تحويلا ( إلى غيركم أو تحويل الحال من العسر إلى اليسر.
Say - O Messenger, to these idolaters: O idolaters - call upon those you claim to be gods besides Allah when some harm befalls you. They will neither be able to remove the harm from you nor can they transfer it to someone else, due to their inability. Anything incapable cannot be a god
