وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَةً وَلَئِنْ رُدِدْتُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا مُنْقَلَبًا
Wama athunnu alssaAAata qaimatan walain rudidtu ila rabbee laajidanna khayran minha munqalaban (36)
فقال ( وما أظن الساعة قائمة ) كائنة ( ( ولئن رددت إلى ربي لأجدن خيرا منها منقلبا ) قرأ أهل الحجاز والشام هكذا على التثنية يعني من الجنتين وكذلك هو في مصاحفهم وقرأ الآخرون ( منها ) أي : من الجنة التي دخلها ( منقلبا ) أي : مرجعا .
إن قيل : كيف قال : " ولئن رددت إلى ربي " وهو منكر البعث؟
قيل : معناه ولئن رددت إلى ربي - على ما تزعم أنت - يعطيني هنالك خيرا منها فإنه لم يعطني هذه الجنة في الدنيا إلا ليعطيني في الآخرة أفضل منها .
I also do not think that the rising will occur. Life will simply continue. If it does occur and I happened to be resurrected and be returned to my Lord, then I will find that what I will go back to after resurrection will be better than this garden of mine. My being rich in this world means that I will be rich after resurrection as well.
