مَا أَشْهَدْتُهُمْ خَلْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَا خَلْقَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذَ الْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًا
Ma ashhadtuhum khalqa alssamawati waalardi wala khalqa anfusihim wama kuntu muttakhitha almudilleena AAadudan (51)
( ما أشهدتهم ) ما أحضرتهم وقرأ أبو جعفر " ما أشهدناهم " بالنون والألف على التعظيم أي : أحضرناهم يعني إبليس وذريته . وقيل : الكفار . وقال الكلبي : يعني الملائكة ( خلق السماوات والأرض ولا خلق أنفسهم ) يقول : ما أشهدتهم خلقا فأستعين بهم على خلقها وأشاورهم فيها ، ( وما كنت متخذ المضلين عضدا ) أي الشياطين الذين يضلون الناس عضدا ، أي : أنصارا وأعوانا .
These whom you have taken as friends instead of me are all servants like you. I did not make them witness the creation of the heavens and the earth when I created them. In fact, they were not even existent then. I did not make some of them witness the creation of others. I am alone in creation and planning. I would not take those human and jinn satans who lead others astray as my assistants as I am in no need of any assistants.
