وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا
Wabarran biwalidayhi walam yakun jabbaran AAasiyyan (14)
( وبرا بوالديه ) أي : بارا لطيفا بهما محسنا إليهما . ( ولم يكن جبارا عصيا ) و " الجبار " : المتكبر ، وقيل : " الجبار " : الذي يضرب ويقتل على الغضب ، و " العصي " : العاصي .
And he was dutiful to his parents, soft with them and kind towards them. And he was neither arrogant regarding obedience to his Lord or his parents nor was he disobedient towards his Lord or his parents.
