سَلْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ بَيِّنَةٍ ۗ وَمَنْ يُبَدِّلْ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Sal banee israeela kam ataynahum min ayatin bayyinatin waman yubaddil niAAmata Allahi min baAAdi ma jaathu fainna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi (211)
قوله تعالى : ( سل بني إسرائيل ) أي سل يا محمد يهود المدينة ( كم آتيناهم ) أعطينا آباءهم وأسلافهم ( من آية بينة ) دلالة واضحة على نبوة موسى عليه السلام مثل العصا واليد البيضاء وفلق البحر وغيرها . وقيل : معناها الدلالات التي آتاهم في التوراة والإنجيل على نبوة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم .
( ومن يبدل ) يغير ( نعمة الله ) كتاب الله وقيل : عهد الله وقيل : من ينكر الدلالة على نبوة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ( من بعد ما جاءته فإن الله شديد العقاب ) .
O Prophet, ask the Jews about how many clear signs proving the truthfulness of the messengers were given to them by Allah. Despite this they disbelieved and turned away from them. If anyone changes the favour of Allah into disbelief and denial after being aware of it and after it has become obvious, then Allah is strong in punishing the disbelievers and the deniers.
