وَالَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ رُوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا وَابْنَهَا آيَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ
Waallatee ahsanat farjaha fanafakhna feeha min roohina wajaAAalnaha waibnaha ayatan lilAAalameena (91)
( والتي أحصنت فرجها ) حفظت من الحرام وأراد مريم بنت عمران ، ( فنفخنا فيها من روحنا ) أي أمرنا جبرائيل حتى نفخ في جيب درعها وأحدثنا بذلك النفخ المسيح في بطنها وأضاف الروح إليه تشريفا لعيسى عليه السلام ( وجعلناها وابنها آية للعالمين ) أي دلالة على كمال قدرتنا على خلق ولد من غير أب ولم يقل آيتين وهما آيتان لأن معنى الكلام وجعلنا شأنهما وأمرهما آية ولأن الآية كانت فيهما واحدة وهي أنها أتت به من غير فحل
O Messenger! Also mention the story of Mary peace be upon her, who protected herself from fornication. Allah then sent Gabriel (peace be upon him) to her, and he blew into her. Consequently, she became pregnant with Jesus (peace be upon him); they were both signs for the people of the Power of Allah, and proofs that nothing is beyond Allah’s capability such that He created Jesus without a father.
