يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ
Ya ayyuha alnnasu ittaqoo rabbakum inna zalzalata alssaAAati shayon AAatheemun (1)
مكية غير آيات من قوله عز وجل ( هذان خصمان ) إلى قوله ( وهدوا إلى صراط الحميد ) .
( يا أيها الناس اتقوا ربكم ) أي احذروا عقابه بطاعته ، ( إن زلزلة الساعة شيء عظيم ) والزلزلة والزلزال شدة الحركة على الحالة الهائلة واختلفوا في هذه الزلزلة
فقال علقمة والشعبي : هي من أشراط الساعة . [ وقيل قيام الساعة ] .
وقال الحسن والسدي : هذه الزلزلة تكون يوم القيامة .
وقال ابن عباس : زلزلة الساعة قيامها فتكون معها .
O people, be mindful of your Lord by carrying out what He has ordered you and desisting from what He has forbidden you. The earthquake and other horrors that will accompany the Day of Judgment are a grave matter, for which it is necessary to prepare through actions which please Allah.
