إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ
Ila firAAawna wamalaihi faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman AAaleena (46)
( إلى فرعون وملئه فاستكبروا ) تعظموا عن الإيمان ، ( وكانوا قوما عالين ) متكبرين قاهرين غيرهم بالظلم .
I sent them both to Pharaoh and the noblemen of his people, but they displayed arrogance and did not submit to believing in them. They were a people who imposed themselves upon people by subduing and oppressing them.
