23 Al-Mu'minun(المؤمنون), Ayah 47

فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ

Faqaloo anuminu libasharayni mithlina waqawmuhuma lana AAabidoona ⁽⁴⁷⁾

Tafsir

( فقالوا ) يعني فرعون وقومه ، ( أنؤمن لبشرين مثلنا ) يعني : موسى وهارون ، ( وقومهما لنا عابدون ) مطيعون متذللون ، والعرب تسمي كل من دان للملك : عابدا له .

So they said, “Should we believe two humans like us, who have no superiority over us and their tribe (the Israelites) are submissive and obedient to us?”
