وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

Walaw rahimnahum wakashafna ma bihim min durrin lalajjoo fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona ⁽⁷⁵⁾

Tafsir

( ولو رحمناهم وكشفنا ما بهم من ضر ) قحط وجدوبة ( للجوا ) تمادوا ، ( في طغيانهم يعمهون ) ولم ينزعوا عنه .

If I were to have mercy on them and lift their famine and hunger, they would continue being misguided from the truth, being confused and stumbling.
