يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا

Ya waylata laytanee lam attakhith fulanan khaleelan ⁽²⁸⁾

Tafsir

( ياويلتى ليتني لم أتخذ فلانا خليلا ) يعني : أبي بن خلف .

He will also say due to extreme grief cursing himself: Alas for me! If only I had not taken so-and-so disbeliever as a friend!
