وَقَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ اكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
Waqaloo asateeru alawwaleena iktatabaha fahiya tumla AAalayhi bukratan waaseelan (5)
( وقالوا أساطير الأولين اكتتبها ) يعني النضر بن الحارث كان يقول : إن هذا القرآن ليس من الله وإنما هو مما سطره الأولون مثل حديث رستم وإسفنديار " اكتتبها " : انتسخها محمد من جبر ، ويسار ، وعداس ، ومعنى " اكتتب " يعني طلب أن يكتب له ، لأنه كان لا يكتب ، ( فهي تملى عليه ) يعني تقرأ عليه ليحفظها لا ليكتبها ، ( بكرة وأصيلا ) غدوة وعشيا .
And these rejecters of the Qur’ān said, “The Qur’ān is vain tales of the previous people which they used to record; Muhammad has copied them. They are recited to him throughout the day”.
