28 Al-Qasas(القصص), Ayah 31

وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَا مُوسَىٰ أَقْبِلْ وَلَا تَخَفْ ۖ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الْآمِنِينَ 31 ٣١

Waan alqi AAasaka falamma raaha tahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiran walam yuAAaqqib ya moosa aqbil wala takhaf innaka mina alamineena (31)

Tafsir

( وأن ألق عصاك فلما رآها تهتز ) تتحرك ، ( كأنها جان ) وهي الحية الصغيرة من سرعة حركتها ، ( ولى مدبرا ) هاربا منها ، ( ولم يعقب ) لم يرجع ، فنودي : ( يا موسى أقبل ولا تخف إنك من الآمنين )

“And throw down your staff.” So Moses threw it down, fulfilling the command of his Lord. When he saw it move and slither as if it were a snake, he turned, fleeing in fear of it and did not return. His Lord then called him: “O Moses! Come forward and do not fear it, because you one of those who are safe from it and other things you may fear.”
