قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا ۚ بِآيَاتِنَا أَنْتُمَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغَالِبُونَ
Qala sanashuddu AAadudaka biakheeka wanajAAalu lakuma sultanan fala yasiloona ilaykuma biayatina antuma wamani ittabaAAakuma alghaliboona (35)
( قال سنشد عضدك بأخيك ) أي : نقويك بأخيك ، وكان هارون يومئذ بمصر ، ( ونجعل لكما سلطانا ) حجة وبرهانا ، ( فلا يصلون إليكما بآياتنا ) أي : لا يصلون إليكما بقتل ولا سوء لمكان آياتنا ، وقيل : فيه تقديم وتأخير ، تقديره : ونجعل لكما سلطانا بآياتنا بما نعطيكما من المعجزات فلا يصلون إليكما ، ( أنتما ومن اتبعكما الغالبون ) أي : لكما ولأتباعكما الغلبة على فرعون وقومه .
Allah said in response to Moses’s supplication, “O Moses! I shall strengthen you by sending your brother with you as a Messenger and aide to you, and give you the upper hand over your enemy. They shall not be able to harm you with anything you dislike. By our ayaat (signs), you and those believers who follow you, will be victorious over Pharoah and his people.”
