وَنُمَكِّنَ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنُرِيَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَحْذَرُونَ
Wanumakkina lahum fee alardi wanuriya firAAawna wahamana wajunoodahuma minhum ma kanoo yahtharoona (6)
( ونمكن لهم في الأرض ) نوطن لهم في أرض مصر والشام ، ونجعلها لهم مكانا يستقرون فيه ، ( ونري فرعون وهامان وجنودهما ) قرأ الأعمش ، وحمزة ، والكسائي : " ويرى " بالياء وفتحها ، ( فرعون وهامان وجنودهما ) مرفوعات على أن الفعل لهم ، وقرأ الآخرون بالنون وضمها ، وكسر الراء ، ونصب الياء ونصب ما بعده بوقوع الفعل عليه ، ( منهم ما كانوا يحذرون ) والحذر هو التوقي من الضرر ، وذلك أنهم أخبروا أن هلاكهم على يد رجل من بني إسرائيل فكانوا على وجل منه ، فأراهم الله ما كانوا يحذرون .
I wanted to grant them authority on the land of Egypt by making them dominate and rule over it, showing Pharaoh and his biggest supporters - Hāmān and their armies who helped them in their rule - what they feared most, which was the loss of their kingdom at the hands of a male child from the Israelites.
