هَا أَنْتُمْ أُولَاءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْكِتَابِ كُلِّهِ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا عَضُّوا عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۚ قُلْ مُوتُوا بِغَيْظِكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
Haantum olai tuhibboonahum wala yuhibboonakum watuminoona bialkitabi kullihi waitha laqookum qaloo amanna waitha khalaw AAaddoo AAalaykumu alanamila mina alghaythi qul mootoo bighaythikum inna Allaha AAaleemun bithati alssudoori (119)
( ها أنتم ) ها تنبيه وأنتم كناية للمخاطبين من الذكور ، ( أولاء ) اسم للمشار إليهم يريد أنتم أيها المؤمنون ، ( تحبونهم ) أي : تحبون هؤلاء اليهود الذين نهيتكم عن مباطنتهم للأسباب التي بينكم من القرابة والرضاع والمصاهرة ، ( ولا يحبونكم ) هم لما بينكم من مخالفة الدين ، قال مقاتل : هم المنافقون يحبهم المؤمنون لما أظهروا من الإيمان ، ولا يعلمون ما في قلوبهم ، ( وتؤمنون بالكتاب كله ) يعني : بالكتب كلها وهم لا يؤمنون بكتابكم ، ( وإذا لقوكم قالوا آمنا وإذا خلوا ) وكان بعضهم مع بعض ( عضوا عليكم الأنامل من الغيظ ) يعني : أطراف الأصابع واحدتها أنملة بضم الميم وفتحها ، من الغيظ لما يرون من ائتلاف المؤمنين واجتماع كلمتهم ، وعض الأنامل عبارة عن شدة الغيظ وهذا من مجاز الأمثال ، وإن لم يكن ثم عض ، ( قل موتوا بغيظكم ) أي : ابقوا إلى الممات بغيظكم ، ( إن الله عليم بذات الصدور ) أي : بما في القلوب من خير وشر .
It is you, O believers, who love these people, and want goodness for them, but they do not love you, and do not wish you well. Rather, they hate you, while you have faith in all of the scriptures, including their scriptures; yet they do not have faith in the Scripture which Allah revealed to your Prophet. If they meet you they say with their tongues, ‘We have faith’, yet when they are alone together they bite the tips of their fingers in distress and rage because of how united you are, the strength of Islam, and because of their own humiliation and shame. Tell these people, O Prophet, to stay as they are until they die in their rage. Allah knows what faith and disbelief and what good and evil there is in people’s hearts.
