إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَنْ يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَنْ يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِثَلَاثَةِ آلَافٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُنْزَلِينَ
Ith taqoolu lilmumineena alan yakfiyakum an yumiddakum rabbukum bithalathati alafin mina almalaikati munzaleena (124)
( إذ تقول للمؤمنين ألن يكفيكم أن يمدكم ربكم ) اختلفوا في هذه الآية فقال قتادة : كان هذا يوم بدر أمدهم الله تعالى بألف من الملائكة كما قال : " فاستجاب لكم أني ممدكم بألف من الملائكة " ( الأنفال - 9 ) ثم صاروا ثلاثة آلاف ثم صاروا خمسة آلاف كما ذكر هاهنا ( بثلاثة آلاف من الملائكة منزلين ) .
Remember, O Prophet, when you roused the believers during the battle of Badr, reassuring them after they heard that reinforcements were on their way for the idolaters, by asking whether it was not enough for them that Allah should help them with three thousand angels sent down from Him to reinforce them in the battle.
