3 Ali 'Imran(آل عمران), Ayah 89

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ 89 ٨٩

Illa allatheena taboo min baAAdi thalika waaslahoo fainna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun (89)

Tafsir

( إلا الذين تابوا من بعد ذلك وأصلحوا فإن الله غفور رحيم ) لما كان منه ، فحملها إليه رجل من قومه وقرأها عليه فقال الحارث : إنك - والله - ما علمت لصدوق وإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأصدق منك وإن الله عز وجل لأصدق الثلاثة ، فرجع الحارث إلى المدينة وأسلم وحسن إسلامه .

This punishment is for everyone except those who repent to Allah, asking for forgiveness, after their disbelief and disobedience, and correct what they have done. Truly, Allah is Forgiving and Compassionate to those who repent to Him.
