34 Saba(سبأ), Ayah 21

وَمَا كَانَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا لِنَعْلَمَ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِالْآخِرَةِ مِمَّنْ هُوَ مِنْهَا فِي شَكٍّ ۗ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ 21 ٢١

Wama kana lahu AAalayhim min sultanin illa linaAAlama man yuminu bialakhirati mimman huwa minha fee shakkin warabbuka AAala kulli shayin hafeethun (21)

Tafsir

قال الله تعالى : ( وما كان له عليهم من سلطان ) أي : ما كان تسليطنا إياه عليهم ( إلا لنعلم من يؤمن بالآخرة ممن هو منها في شك ) أي : إلا لنعلم ، لنرى ونميز المؤمن من الكافر ، وأراد علم الوقوع والظهور ، وقد كان معلوما عنده بالغيب ( وربك على كل شيء حفيظ ) رقيب . )

And Iblis has no power over them through which he can force them to be misguided, but he only beautifies for them to entice them to lead them astray. We have given him permission to entice so we can make it clear the one who has faith in the Hereafter from the one who is in doubt about the Hereafter. And your Lord, O Messenger, is a Guardian over everything. He guards the actions of His servants and will reward them for them.
