إِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ
Innee amantu birabbikum faismaAAooni (25)
( إني آمنت بربكم فاسمعون ) يعني : فاسمعوا مني ، فلما قال ذلك وثب القوم عليه وثبة رجل واحد فقتلوه .
قال ابن مسعود : وطئوه بأرجلهم حتى خرج قصبه من دبره .
قال السدي : كانوا يرمونه بالحجارة وهو يقول : اللهم اهد قومي ، حتى قطعوه وقتلوه .
وقال الحسن : خرقوا خرقا في حلقة فعلقوه بسور من سور المدينة ، وقبره بأنطاكية فأدخله الله الجنة ، وهو حي فيها يرزق ،
O my people, I have accepted both my and your Lord, so listen to me. I do not care about the threats of murder that you make. But his people insisted on killing him and Allah entered him into Paradise.
