لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

Lalabitha fee batnihi ila yawmi yubAAathoona ⁽¹⁴⁴⁾

Tafsir

( للبث في بطنه إلى يوم يبعثون ) لصار بطن الحوت له قبرا إلى يوم القيامة .

he would have remained in the stomach of the whale until the Day of Judgement, with it having become his grave.
