لَهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عِبَادَهُ ۚ يَا عِبَادِ فَاتَّقُونِ
Lahum min fawqihim thulalun mina alnnari wamin tahtihim thulalun thalika yukhawwifu Allahu bihi AAibadahu ya AAibadi faittaqooni (16)
( لهم من فوقهم ظلل من النار ) أطباق سرادقات من النار ودخانها ، ( ومن تحتهم ظلل ) فراش ومهاد من نار إلى أن ينتهي إلى القعر ، وسمى الأسفل ظللا ؛ لأنها ظلل لمن تحتهم ، نظيرها قوله - عز وجل - : " لهم من جهنم مهاد ومن فوقهم غواش " ( الأعراف - 41 ) . ( ذلك يخوف الله به عباده ياعباد فاتقون ) .
They will have the fire, extreme heat and smoke from above and beneath them there will be smoke, flames and heat. That punishment is what Allah warns His servants of. O My servants, so fear Me by fulfilling My instructions and avoiding My prohibitions.
