خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۗ أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
Khalaqa alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi yukawwiru allayla AAala alnnahari wayukawwiru alnnahara AAala allayli wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullun yajree liajalin musamman ala huwa alAAazeezu alghaffaru (5)
( خلق السماوات والأرض بالحق يكور الليل على النهار ويكور النهار على الليل ) قال قتادة : يغشي هذا هذا ، كما قال : " يغشي الليل النهار " ( الأعراف - 54 ) وقيل : يدخل أحدهما على الآخر كما قال : " يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل " ( الحج - 61 ) .
وقال الحسن ، والكلبي : ينقص من الليل فيزيد في النهار ، وينقص من النهار فيزيد في الليل ، فما نقص من الليل دخل في النهار ، وما نقص من النهار دخل في الليل . ومنتهى النقصان تسع ساعات ، ومنتهى الزيادة خمس عشرة ساعة ، وأصل التكوير اللف والجمع ، ومنه : كور العمامة .( وسخر الشمس والقمر كل يجري لأجل مسمى ألا هو العزيز الغفار ) .
He created the heavens and He created the earth with complete wisdom, not in vain as the unjust say. He enters the night into the day and the day into the night, so when one of them comes the other disappears. And He has made the sun and the moon subservient, each one orbits to a fixed time, which is the end of this life. Definitely, He is the Mighty who takes retribution from His enemies and nobody can overpower Him, Forgiving of the sins of His servants who repent.
