لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ ۘ وَقَالَ لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبًا مَفْرُوضًا
LaAAanahu Allahu waqala laattakhithanna min AAibadika naseeban mafroodan (118)
( لعنه الله ) أي : أبعده الله من رحمته ، ( وقال ) يعني : قال إبليس ، ( لأتخذن من عبادك نصيبا مفروضا ) أي : حظا معلوما ، فما أطيع فيه إبليس فهو مفروضه ، وفي بعض التفاسير : من كل ألف واحد لله تعالى وتسعمائة وتسعة وتسعون لإبليس ، وأصل الفرض في اللغة : القطع ، ومنه الفرضة في النهر وهي الثلمة تكون فيه ، وفرض القوس والشراك : للشق الذي يكون فيه الوتر والخيط الذي يشد به الشراك .
It was for this reason that Allah distanced Satan from His mercy. Satan then took an oath before his Lord saying: I will take a set portion of Your servants, whom I will mislead from the truth.
