إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا لَا يَخْفَوْنَ عَلَيْنَا ۗ أَفَمَنْ يُلْقَىٰ فِي النَّارِ خَيْرٌ أَمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي آمِنًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
Inna allatheena yulhidoona fee ayatina la yakhfawna AAalayna afaman yulqa fee alnnari khayrun am man yatee aminan yawma alqiyamati iAAmaloo ma shitum innahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun (40)
( إن الذين يلحدون في آياتنا ) يميلون عن الحق في أدلتنا . قال مجاهد : يلحدون في آياتنا بالمكاء والتصدية واللغو واللغط . قال قتادة : يكذبون في آياتنا . قال السدي : يعاندون ويشاقون .
قال مقاتل : نزلت في أبي جهل .
( لا يخفون علينا أفمن يلقى في النار ) وهو أبو جهل ، ( خير أم من يأتي آمنا يوم القيامة ) قيل : هو حمزة ، وقيل : عثمان . وقيل : عمار بن ياسر . ( اعملوا ما شئتم ) أمر تهديد ووعيد ، ( إنه بما تعملون بصير ) عالم فيجازيكم به .
Indeed, those who deviate from Allah's signs, rejecting or distorting them and turning others away from them are not hidden from us. Allah know who they are. So, is the one who will be thrown into the hellfire more privileged or the one who will come safe from the punishment on the Day of Judgement? O people! Do whatever good or bad you wish; Allah has made good and evil clear to you and He sees whatever you do from it. None of your actions are hidden from Him.
