أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَاكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ
Ami ittakhatha mimma yakhluqu banatin waasfakum bialbaneena (16)
( أم اتخذ مما يخلق بنات ) هذا استفهام توبيخ وإنكار ، يقول : اتخذ ربكم لنفسه البنات ، ( وأصفاكم بالبنين ) ؟ كقوله : " أفأصفاكم ربكم بالبنين " ( الإسراء 40 ) .
O idolaters! Do you say: “Allah has chosen daughters for Himself from among the things He creates”, whilst He has privileged you with male offspring? What an absurd distribution this is which you claim!
