وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ الْأَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِي ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
Wanada firAAawnu fee qawmihi qala ya qawmi alaysa lee mulku misra wahathihi alanharu tajree min tahtee afala tubsiroona (51)
( ونادى فرعون في قومه قال يا قوم أليس لي ملك مصر وهذه الأنهار ) أنهار النيل ( تجري من تحتي ) من تحت قصوري ، وقال قتادة : تجري بين يدي في جناني وبساتيني . وقال الحسن : بأمري . ( أفلا تبصرون ) عظمتي وشدة ملكي .
Pharaoh called out among his people, bragging about his kingdom, “O my people! Do I not own the country of Egypt, and these rivers that flow beneath my palaces? Do you not see my kingdom and recognise my greatness?”
