وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ
Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma firAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun (17)
( ولقد فتنا ) بلونا ( قبلهم ) قبل هؤلاء ( قوم فرعون وجاءهم رسول كريم ) على الله وهو موسى بن عمران .
And verily I tested the people of Pharaoh before them, and their noble messenger came to them from Allah calling them towards His oneness and worship. He was Moses (peace be upon him).
