وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا شَيْئًا اتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ
Waitha AAalima min ayatina shayan ittakhathaha huzuwan olaika lahum AAathabun muheenun (9)
( وإذا علم من آياتنا ) قال مقاتل : من القرآن ( شيئا اتخذها هزوا أولئك لهم عذاب مهين ) وذكر بلفظ الجمع ردا إلى " كل " في قوله : " لكل أفاك أثيم " .
And when something of the Qur’ān reaches him, he takes it as a joke to mock. Those attributed with this quality of mocking the Qur’ān will have a disgraceful punishment on the day of judgment.
