وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّينَ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ
Waith awhaytu ila alhawariyyeena an aminoo bee wabirasoolee qaloo amanna waishhad biannana muslimoona (111)
( وإذ أوحيت إلى الحواريين ) ألهمتهم وقذفت في قلوبهم ، وقال أبو عبيدة يعني أمرت و ( إلى ) صلة ، والحواريون خواص أصحاب عيسى عليه السلام ، ( أن آمنوا بي وبرسولي ) [ عيسى ] ( قالوا ) حين وفقتهم ( آمنا واشهد بأننا مسلمون ) .
Another favour that Allah reminded him about was that Allah created assistants for him when He inspired the disciples to have faith in Him and in Jesus. They submitted to that and responded saying, ‘I believe. Be a witness, O our Lord, that we submit to You in devotion’.
