لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُودَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ
LuAAina allatheena kafaroo min banee israeela AAala lisani dawooda waAAeesa ibni maryama thalika bima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoona (78)
قوله تعالى : ( لعن الذين كفروا من بني إسرائيل على لسان داود ) يعني : أهل أيلة لما اعتدوا في السبت ، وقال داود عليه السلام : اللهم العنهم واجعلهم آية فمسخوا قردة ( وعيسى ابن مريم ) أي : على لسان عيسى عليه السلام ، يعني : كفار أصحاب المائدة ، لما لم يؤمنوا ، قال عيسى : اللهم العنهم واجعلهم آية فمسخوا خنازير ( ذلك بما عصوا وكانوا يعتدون )
Allah, may He be glorified, tells us that He distanced the disbelievers of the Israelites from His mercy in the scripture He revealed to David, namely the Psalms, and in the scripture He revealed to Jesus, son of Mary, namely the Gospel. He did this because of the sins they committed and due to their violation of the things Allah made sacred.
