فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِثْلِهِ إِنْ كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ

Falyatoo bihadeethin mithlihi in kanoo sadiqeena ⁽³⁴⁾

Tafsir

( فليأتوا بحديث مثله ) أي : مثل القرآن ونظمه وحسن بيانه ( إن كانوا صادقين ) أن محمدا يقوله من قبل نفسه .

So let them produce a narrative like it, even if it has been fabricated, if they are true in their claim that he has fabricated it.
