أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَٰئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ
Akuffarukum khayrun min olaikum am lakum baraatun fee alzzuburi (43)
( أكفاركم خير من أولئكم ) أشد وأقوى من الذين أحللت بهم نقمتي من قوم نوح وعاد وثمود وقوم لوط وآل فرعون ؟ وهذا استفهام بمعنى الإنكار أي : ليسوا بأقوى منهم ( أم لكم براءة ) العذاب ( في الزبر ) في الكتب ، أنه لن يصيبكم ما أصاب الأمم الخالية .
Are your disbelievers, O people of Makkah, better than those disbelievers mentioned: The people of Noah, the Ad, the Thamud, the people of Lot and Pharaoh and his people? Or do you have immunity from Allah’s punishment that has been brought by the heavenly scriptures?
