بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ
Bali alssaAAatu mawAAiduhum waalssaAAatu adha waamarru (46)
( بل الساعة موعدهم والساعة أدهى وأمر ) قال سعيد بن المسيب : سمعت عمر بن الخطاب - رضي الله عنه - يقول : لما نزلت : " سيهزم الجمع ويولون الدبر " كنت لا أدري أي جمع يهزم ، فلما كان يوم بدر رأيت النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - يثب في درعه ويقول : " سيهزم الجمع ويولون الدبر بل الساعة موعدهم والساعة أدهى وأمر " أعظم داهية وأشد مرارة من الأسر والقتل يوم بدر .
In fact, the Hour that they deny is the appointed time when they will be punished. The Hour is more severe and bitter than the punishment of the world that they received on the day of Badr.
