قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ ۗ قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Qul aghayra Allahi attakhithu waliyyan fatiri alssamawati waalardi wahuwa yutAAimu wala yutAAamu qul innee omirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wala takoonanna mina almushrikeena (14)
قوله تعالى : ( قل أغير الله أتخذ وليا ) ؟ وهذا حين دعا إلى دين آبائه ، فقال تعالى : قل يا محمد أغير الله أتخذ وليا ، [ ربا ومعبودا وناصرا ومعينا ] ؟ ( فاطر السماوات والأرض ) أي : خالقهما ومبدعهما ومبتديهما ، ( وهو يطعم ولا يطعم ) أي : وهو يرزق ولا يرزق كما قال : ( ما أريد منهم من رزق وما أريد أن يطعمون ) . ( قل إني أمرت أن أكون أول من أسلم ) يعني : من هذه الأمة ، والإسلام بمعنى الاستسلام لأمر الله ، وقيل : أسلم أخلص ، ( ولا تكونن ) يعني : وقيل لي ولا تكونن ، ( من المشركين ) .
Say, O Messenger, to the idolaters who worship idols and other things together with Allah: Does it make sense that I take any one other than Allah as a guardian and a protector from whom I seek help? Allah is the One Who created the heavens and the earth without any precedent. There was no Creator before Him. He is the One Who gives provision to whichever of His servants He wishes, and none of His servants provide for Him. He is not in any need of His servants, but His servants are in need of Him. Say, O Messenger: My Lord has instructed me to be the first one from this nation to submit and be humble. He has prohibited me from being of those who associate others as partners with Him.
