فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَاقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا

Fathaqat wabala amriha wakana AAaqibatu amriha khusran ⁽⁹⁾

Tafsir

"فذاقت وبال أمرها"، جزاء أمرها، وقيل: ثقل عاقبة كفرها، "وكان عاقبة أمرها خسراً"، خسراناً في الدنيا والآخرة.

So they tasted the outcome of their evil deeds, and their finale was losing out in the world and losing out in the afterlife.
