أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ ۚ بَلْ لَجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ
Amman hatha allathee yarzuqukum in amsaka rizqahu bal lajjoo fee AAutuwwin wanufoorin (21)
( أمن هذا الذي يرزقكم إن أمسك رزقه ) أي من الذي يرزقكم المطر إن أمسك الله [ عنكم ] ( بل لجوا في عتو ) تماد في الضلال ( ونفور ) تباعد من الحق . وقال مجاهد : كفور .
And there is no one that can sustain you if Allah stops His provisions from reaching you. Rather, the crux is that the disbelievers have prolonged in transgression, arrogance and refusal of the truth.
